Learning and Development Specialist/Instructional Designer

  • Work directly with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify client’s needs/objectives and act as primary POC for all client interactions
  • Conduct research to identify deficiencies in knowledge, skill, or engagement that necessitate the development of training
  • Instructional designer will lead the designing of training outlines, curricula, and content
  • Develop instructional and non-instructional solutions as determined by client’s goals
  • Leads content creation for multiple delivery and media types: e-learning modules, instructor led, blended learning, support documents, virtual training, etc.
  • Convert existing documentation and training materials into engaging training solutions
  • Ensures materials follow design objectives and exhibit best practices for visual and interaction display to support learning
  • Accountable for client deliverables meeting or exceeding established accuracy, consistency, and quality standards
  • Implements Training Deliverables
  • 5+ years of experience as an instructional designer in a learning and development context
  • Extensive knowledge and experience working with learning management systems and e-learning course development software
  • Demonstrated ability to apply instructional design theory, models, and technical training best practices
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information and convert into easily-understandable learning content.
  • Extensive experience with professional producing and diting of videos for training modules
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues and subject matter experts for content creation
  • Outstanding writing, editing, critical thinking skills
  • Superb attention to detail and communication skills
  • Ability to travel on-site to clients as needed
  • Bachelor’s degree required.  Advanced degree in related specialization is desired
  • Active listener, great attitude, team player
